2009 Board Member of the Year

Robb Lipsey Honored as 2009 Board Member of the Year

In gratitude for his tireless service and sage counsel spanning the past six years, Robb Lipsey has been honored by the CHW Foundation – East Valley as its Board Member of the Year for 2009. Lipsey, a 19-year veteran of the Community Association industry and founder of Premier Community Management, Inc., is only the fourth person to receive this prestigious award, and does so as his time on the Board comes to a close.

Lipsey was selected by a vote of his Board peers in recognition for his long-term service and dedication to the CHW Foundation - East Valley. During his time on the Board, Lipsey helped create and co-chaired Founders Circle, a friend’s of organization supporting Chandler Regional Medical Center. Lipsey also served as Secretary for the Board of Directors and has co-chaired the George Rozsa Golf Classic.

But Lipsey sites as his most fulfilling experience of his Board tenure the opportunity to co-chair last fall’s fifth annual fundraising gala, Laughter is the Best Medicine, with Board member Tom Marreel.

“Working with so many dedicated professionals and volunteers to raise more than $320,000 for the Foundation was very rewarding,” said Lipsey. Since its inception, the gala has raised more than $1.5 million for Chandler Regional Medical Center. This year’s gala will be held on November 7, 2009, at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort with “The Rat Pack is Back” tribute show.

Lipsey, a native Arizonan and Chandler resident, got involved with CHW in an effort to “give a little back to the local community where we work and are raising our family.” He lives with his wife Evy and his twin daughters right in between Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers, and see(s) both facilities as an important part of their community.

“We are truly grateful to Robb for the time and support he has given to CHW over the past six years,” said Board Chair Jim Hayden. “He will be missed on the Board, but we know he and Evy will continue to support us in our efforts to improve the well-being and quality of life here in the Southeast Valley.”
