How to Give
The CHW Foundation – East Valley, a not-for-profit organization, accepts and stewards charitable gifts on behalf of the non-profits Chandler Regional Medical Center and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, and the community outreach programs facilitated by CHW East Valley. Your gift to the Foundation will support quality healthcare for you, your friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues in the East Valley.
You may designate your gift toward a specific program or service, or you may leave your gift unrestricted so that we may use it where the need is the greatest.
Thoughtful Ways of Giving Include:
Outright Gifts – Gifts in the form of cash, check, or credit card are the most common type of charitable gifts and have an immediate impact on health service lines and programs. Gifts may be made in person, via mail, or by using our secure, online donation form.
Planned or Deferred Gifts – Many times, a will, life insurance policy, gift annuity, or other planned-giving vehicle offers an exceptional opportunity for leaving a lasting legacy of quality healthcare for future generations. Some gift plans even offer increased income, tax savings, and other welcomed benefits.
Gift Pledges – A pledge is a formal statement of intention to make a gift to the Foundation. It may be followed by an immediate gift, or it may simply confirm your intention to make a gift in the future. An option to make regular payments over a period of time allows donors to give more generously than they may have originally considered.
Gifts of Endowment – An endowment is a fund that is maintained in perpetuity, with a portion of the annual earnings used for the purposes specified by the donor. Such endowments, which typically bear the name of the donor or donors, reflect your interests and serve as enduring testaments to your generosity.
Appreciated Securities – A gift of appreciated marketable securities helps you save taxes twice by providing a charitable tax deduction and capital gains tax savings.
Matching Gifts– Many corporations have demonstrated their support by matching, or multiplying, their employees’ gifts to the hospital. Before making a gift, consult your company’s personnel office for more information about matching programs.
Gifts of Real Estate – With a gift of your home or real property, you may claim a charitable tax deduction based on the full market value of the gift, avoid capital gains taxes, and eliminate certain costs associated with the transfer of real property.
Gifts-In-Kind – You may wish to give a personal possession of special interest. These can include works of art, equipment, and other items.
Corporate and Foundation Grants – Many granting organizations share in the mission and objectives of the scope of services and programs of the Foundation. If your organization has a grant program aligned with the funding needs of CHW Foundation – East Valley and is a candidate for partnering to meet that need, please contact Marianne Pekala in the Foundation Office (marianne.pekala@chw.edu).
